Van Cleef & Arpels: Inspiration without borders

The process of creation of new things depends only on the imagination (and paying capacity) of the client. Imagine the grandee - lady who has ordered a collar for the cat made from platinum and brilliants, or the dangler and chocolate-fan who by all means wishes to present his new beloved the bracelet inside of chocolate egg for Easter. In a history of the unusual orders of the oustanding clients a worthy place take two gold scrapers for the tounge, made in 1955 for a Baroda princedom family-member, a support for bottles from yellow gold with Pepsi-Cola trade mark and even gold tea-strainer.

But, perhaps, the most exclusive order was made by one Maharajah in 1935: an aquarium for a forest frog from the precious materials, equipped with a small gold ladder. By the way how the frog got on a ladder, the happy owner of an aquarium could forecast the weather. For already almost the whole century aristocrats, members of royal families and film stars cleave to charm and style of Van Cleef & Arpels.
It does not cause doubt, that thanking to creative manner and devotion to the work of employees of the company the jeweller’s house will spend the next century in shine as well.
