Well-known liner Queen Elizabeth II turns in a magnificent hotel
Nothing is eternal in this world. Well-known Queen Elizabeth II liner lives the last days as a sea vessel. However legendary cruiser will not die at all, but on the contrary, will find a new life. Shortly it will turn in a place of pilgrimage of tourists from the whole world. It will be a magnificent hotel with chains of the best boutiques and even a museum. It is known, that the ship will be moored near the artificial Palm Island in Jumeirah in United Arab Emirates in 2009.
The British company has sold the liner for 75 million euro to Dubai World company which is going to give the ship the second life.
The vessel will end to function as the liner in November of the next year. According to some information, its new owner Dubai World is going to alter the ship from within in a comfortable hotel with entertainments and shops, and also to leave a place for a museum to reconstruct there the history of the well-known ship.
Let’s remind, that cruise liner Queen Elizabeth II, with its length in 951,44 ft and width 114,83 ft, was constructed on John Brauna’s shipyard in Scotland. The vessel can place 1778 passengers, and 1000 crew members.
