The pen - teacher reads, counts, writes and corrects mistakes (Part 2)

The American company LeapFrog Enterprises, producing toys (and, including hi-tech) for children of age from 0 to 18 years, has manufactured the digital pen FLY Pentop Computer at last. This company announced it more than a year ago.

This innovation is intended for schoolboys and schoolgirls and, it seems to be “the younger sister”, strict and advanced models of Sony Ericsson or Logitech which are advertised as the assistants of businessmen.

But the most interesting fact is that the “children’s” toy in turned to be more perfect than the “adult” digital pens; furthermore, the price for it is half of that for the mentioned innovations — $99.

FLY Pentop uses the similar paper marked with invisible signs for recognizing hand-written characters. But FLY Pentop can make surprising things even without a computer, connected to it. For example, it is can correct spelling, reading aloud necessary answers (the pen is supplied with a loud speaker).

“The paper calculator” is even more useful ability of the pen. You should draw it including buttons from “0â€? to “9â€?, “+â€?, “=â€? et cetera on the sheet of paper. The pen will remember their position.

Now you just press the drawn buttons by the tip of the pen and the integrated loud speaker will pronounce the result of calculation.
