The most expensive land

Americans held a new record of ground areas and estates’ price. The founder of investment company Baron Funds Ron Baron has paid 103 million dollars for 39,54 acres of the ground in East Hampton, New York State. There are no buildings on this area. And the bargain was concluded without middlemen.
Earlier the site belonged to the successor of Schlumberger oil empire Adelaide de Menil and her husband Ted Carpenter. There were four ancient houses, but sellers presented them as a gift to their city, the constructions were transported and are going to be used as a new city town hall.
However, just held record can be broken at any moment now. Billionaire Tim Blixseth builds now what he calls the most expensive house in the world and is going to sell it for 155 million dollars. Besides the British market offers Updown Court estate for which sellers ask 149 million dollars. According to Forbes, the most expensive house in the USA is Hala Ranch which costs 135 million dollars and belongs to prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz.
