French wine Chateau Lafite Rothschild does not need presentation. One of the most known wine in the world, it is highly rated by wine gourmets. Now they have an opportunity to get the biggest collection of its wines, offered by The Antique Wine Company - 48 vintage bottles, with the oldest which is 220 years old.
London company The Antique Wine Company engaged in a sale of old wines, collected the collection for two years from the best restaurants, hotels and private cellars, including a cellar of one of the Rothschild family members.
The one, who will get The Great Antique Lafite Collection, will be the owner of a history part, the true wealth.
This collection includes bottles of all possible formats, even the 6-liter “Imperial”. And though the quality of the collected wines is undoubted, the best experts were called to prove its authenticity. The age of a glass of bottles was determined with the help of a combination of the radiometric analysis, gamma - radiation and proton beams and the wine itself was taken out with a medical syringe from a cork and put to the molecular and chemical analysis.
The sale of the collection will begin this May and only by individual negotiations. The exact price is unknown yet; it is expected, that the unique wines will change hands for 1-3 million dollars.
