The most expensive caviar in the world


The most expensive caviar in the world is not black at all. And it is not even rare grey caviar. Almas, caviar centenary of beluga-albino, living in Caspian Sea, is the most expensive caviar in the world. This rarity has been represented on October, 15th, at the Moscow gastronomic festival.
Until recently rare almas submitted only at a court yard of the Persian check.
Rare belugas-albinos of respectable age live exclusively in waters of Caspian Sea. Their caviar has unusual color - almost white, with dark-golden shine - and distinguishes by very gentle taste with tones of wood nut.
Only one company in the world - Iranian House Almas -has a right to extract such caviar. Precious caviar is packed into jars from the purest in the world of gold - 24 carats (approximately 998 gold standard). In the world market one kilogram of almas caviar is estimated approximately in 25 thousand dollars, and the small jar costs about two thousand dollars.
