The most expensive restaurants of the world: selection criteria

Business magazine Forbes has made the list of the most expensive restaurants in the world.

As it is known, sales of restaurants all over the world make 1,5-2 billion dollars per year. The United States accounts for 500 billion from this sum. That is hundred billions dollars are spent at magnificent restaurants somewhere in China, Japan, India, Europe, the Near East and Africa.

The magazine has decided to find out, where are the best and most expensive of these restaurants. For this purpose it has chosen at first 25 cities outside the United States, and then with the help of Zagat Survey service it has determined the most expensive restaurant in each of them. If the price level at restaurants was identical, the magazine chose the restaurant with more exclusive food.

In cities where Zagat Survey is not represented, in particular in Moscow, Forbes has taken into account recommendations given to visitors by local five-star hotels.
