The most expensive real estate in Europe


Luxembourg outstrips all European capitals at the prices for real estate, informs Figaro referring to the social research of the group of companies ERA, which includes more than a thousand of real estate agencies, 400 of which - in France.

According to the research, Luxembourg takes again (after 2005) the first place in the list of the cities with most expensive real estate (€485 thousand for a usual apartment). The second place takes London - €473,83 thousand. The third place has Bern, there an apartment costs 440 thousand.

According to ERA, in Paris which takes the sixth place, the average price for an apartment since 2005 to 2006 has gone down from €300 to €295 thousand.

The most acceptable prices for real estate in Europe are in capital of Bulgaria Sofia where an apartment costs €78 thousand on average.

“Sofia has set up a record: 94 % of its residents have own real estate”, - mark researchers.

As a whole, sociologists see the tendency of landslide of prices for the real estate in Europe.
In some European countries there is even landslide of prices for dwelling, as in Germany, Austria and Portugal.

Research was conducted 16 EU member-states.
