Company Piaget, included in Richemont group, creates watches since 1874. At the same time modern Piaget is also the jeweller brand which creates not conservative but bold in design adornments. Piaget is one of a few brands in the world, which not simply combined watch and jeweller directions, but also equally succeeded in both haute horlogerie, and in haute joaillerie.

Piaget creates both excellent women’s jeweller watches and jewelry, and innovative men’s watches with mechanisms which are completely assembled on the own manufactory. At Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2007 (SIHH) in Geneva the company has shown its creations in all their variety.

These novelties have helped Piaget to get into Guinness Book of Records as «founders of the most thin in the world mechanism with automatic self-winding.
50 years has passed since Piaget’s masters have created the first ultrathin mechanism. The 9P caliber for the first time has been represented in 1957, it was followed by 12P, which was only 2,3 mm.

Certainly, all these innovative mechanisms were created not to be written again and again in Guinness Book of Records, but for manufacture of more and more elegant men’s and graceful weman’s watches. In anniversary 2007 year Piaget has presented at once several models, which pay tribute to ultrathin mechanisms of the manufactory, and first own mechanism with a mechanical chronograph.

Among novelties - pocket watch in “Altiplano” collection. This is a limited edition from fifty copies - one for every year of the first ultrathin mechanism 9P existence. Twenty five watches from this edition are made from white gold and twenty five - from pink.
