New science - economy of happiness becomes more and more popular in the world. Scientists try to calculate, how much money is necessary for the person to feel happy. In 2004 experts from the USA have deduced: the income necessary for a careless life to the American should be 50 thousand dollars in a year or more. But it is applicable only for the States.
Researches in this area have already been conducted for a long time and lead to various results. Some researchers make a start from the point that the person is happy when he is not sad. Differences of mood became a basis of the American research, according to which 50 thousand dollars in a year are enough for happiness. People with such income or more are sad on the average 1,7 days in a month. The income in 15 thousand and below increases gloomy days up to 5,4.
But happiness is much more gentle and strong feeling, than just a good mood. «The world database of happiness» created by Dutch scientist Ruth Vinhoven totals thousand of the sociological surveys concerning similar problems. But the economy of happiness is popular in many countries and on the highest level, for example in the Great Britain. As a result of these researches the index of happiness has appeared. The average index on all countries is 6 points from 10 possible. The happiest countries (8 points) are Denmark, Iceland and Switzerland. Inhabitants of the African countries are less satisfied with a life.
The largest survey has been recently conducted by Gallup agency. Experts have questioned respondents from 130 countries of the world. Connection between well-being and feeling of happiness became obvious. Citizens of the developed countries are quite happy. The percent of happy people in the poor countries is much less.
